Emma has over 25 years’ experience as a clinical psychologist. She works with individuals and couples from diverse backgrounds across a range of mental health presentations, including issues related to mood, anxiety, stress, adjustment, dysfunctional families, life dissatisfaction, low self-esteem, grief, and traumatic life events. She is also passionate about helping couples work through relationship issues, such as communication and intimacy issues. Emma’s extensive clinical experience comes from working in the public sector in London and Sydney, and in private practice which she has focused on over the last decade. She is also eminent amongst her peers, providing supervision and training to other psychologists and has contributed to doctoral programs in the UK.

Emma is a warm and compassionate therapist who demonstrates deep care and understanding for her clients’ unique needs. Therapy sessions with Emma are varied, as she tailors her approach to best suit the individual or couple she is working with. Emma enjoys helping people create lasting change in their life through making sense of their present struggles in the context of past emotional learning. She has been fortunate to witness huge gains in the people who have worked with her, and she appreciates the trust and bravery that has made that possible.

When not at work, Emma can be found immersing herself in all that the Aussie climate and lifestyle has to offer – she is particularly partial to a sunny bushwalk!
